IFD releases € 175 million in Venture Capital Funds
IFD – Instituição Financeira de Desenvolvimento, S.A. informs the market that until 31/08/2017, within the Public Procurement Procedure (IFD-FC&QC-FCR-01/16), 13 Venture Capital management companies signed Financing Agreements, in a global amount of € 175 million for investment in SME through Venture Capital Funds (VCF).
The public co-financing in these agreements, through the Equity and QUsi-Equity Fund (FC&QC), managed by IFD and financed by the Regional Operational Programmes of North, Centre, Lisbon, Alentejo and Algarve and by COMPETE, is € 80 million.

The target industries of the proposed VCF include, among others, ICT (such as Fintech, Internet of Things, Web/Mobile), Industry 4.0, Biotechnology and Farmaceuticals, Cleantech and Enegy Efficiency, Manufacturing (such as textile, chemistry and metalwork) and Production Technologies, New Materials, Robotics and Electronics, Circular Economy and Creative Industries.
