IFD negotiates financing with EIB to implement € 500 million Credit Line
After the approval of the enlargement of its activity at the end of 2016, IFD – Instituição FInanceira de Desenvolvimento has established contacts with the European Investment Bank (EIB) in order to obtain a loan from EIB (on lending operation).
With this financing, IFD may be able to raise funds in very competitive conditions that will allow the operationalisation of financial instruments to support SME and mid-caps, contributing to strengthen and increase the competitiveness of companies in Portugal.
Recently, EIB has published in its website the information that it is negotiating a € 250 million financing with IFD (see here).
This financing will allow the operationalisation of a Credit Line of about € 500 million in a first stage, to be reinforced up to a total of € 1 billion, through credit institutions operating in Portugal.
